A hernia occurs when an internal organ or tissue protrudes through a weakened area in the muscle wall of the abdomen or body. Common hernia types include Inguinal (Groin),

Umbilical, Femoral, Incisional, Epigastric, and Hiatal Hernias.

Signs of a hernia may include:

• A visible bulge or swelling in the affected area (especially during standing, coughing, or straining)

• Pain or discomfort around the bulge

• A feeling of pressure or heaviness

• Burning or aching sensations

• Sudden, sharp pain (in case of strangulation)
